Your own Domain?

What is a "Domain"?

An Internet Domain name is the bit after the "@" in an e-mail address or after the "www" in a web site address.  Every Domain on the Internet is a unique name, and the "extension" will usually give some indication of the type of organisation using the name.  For example, a UK-based company may use .co.uk after its name; a non profit-making organisation in the UK may use .org.uk

. Why might you want your own Internet Domain?

*  A unique name for you on the Internet

*  Any e-mail name you want - no need to worry whether it's already taken

*  A name to use for your own web site AND/OR can be pointed at another web site - see our "Web Redirection" page for more details

Domain registration starts at 25.  Domains will usually be active within 48 hours of registration.
